Assigning user roles and rights
The user role specifies which components of the Callisto interface a user can access. For example, you may want to provide a user with access to Service Manager data only, excluding them from the Configuration Manager and Operations Manager views. Further granular control of the specific pages a user may view is also available, if wish to provide a user with a view of only the Software Updates page, for example. Callisto is provided with a set of default roles out of the box. Granular additional roles can be created in the console.
We use the user or role permissions tabs in this interface to control which specific pages and which console tasks the users can access, for example to restrict restart and wakeup activities we can edit a role or user:
